 This map shows principal routes in the southwest and Vancouver Island region. Each of the diamond points you see on this
 map can be clicked to directly travel a highway depicted in the Road Tours.

 For visitors from the United States, click on the  diamond point south of Olympia or at Seattle to begin your travel northward on Interstate 5 to the Canadian border.

 The Road Tours also follow a collection of Circle Routes which have been established in British Columbia. Circle Routes
 have been set for travellers to undertake a circular tour of different parts of B.C. Some Road Tours follow parts of a few

  Lower Mainland
 The Lower Mainland is a local term for the area of B.C. comprising of the Vancouver region and the Fraser Valley from
 Vancouver to Hope. The picture below - taken at an altitude of 211 nautical miles (391 km) aboard the Space Shuttle -
 shows the topography of the Lower Mainland. Major through highways are shown in red, with the Canadian / U.S.
 border in blue. The region comprises of approximatly 2/3 of the population of British Columbia.
