BCCWC Mission Statement The mission of the BC Coalition of Women's Centres is to seek an end to the violence, poverty and other human rights abuses experienced by women in British Columbia, by supporting and promoting both independent and coordinated social change action among women's centres and other equity-seeking organizations. BCCWC Values Statement In recognition of the inherent power imbalances in society, we support the right of all women to explore options and identify themselves on their own terms. As feminists, we are committed to creating an environment free of racism, classism, discrimination and bias, where all women -- including women of colour, immigrant and refugee women, Aboriginal women, lesbian/bisexual/two-spirit women, transgender/transsexual/intersexed women, young women, older women, women with disabilities and women living in poverty -- are treated with respect and dignity. We understand that in order to end oppression and violence against women, we must continue to work towards full social, political, legal and economic equality for all women.  BCCWC Contact Info We have come together as an ad hoc coalition of women's centres to discuss, strategize and take action on issues which affect our centres and the women who access them. We do not have an office and are not a formal organization. If you are an individual woman seeking assistance, please contact a women's centre in or near your community (see list below).
