Take Back the Night
Take Back the Province!

Take Back the Night is an international tradition, which cities around the world have participated in since 1973. The main focus of TBTN is to demand an end to rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, incest and sexual harassment. The highlight of Take Back the Night is the march, when women walk through the night and reclaim the streets.

This year women across British Columbia will be marching to protest cuts by the Government of BC, which affecting women detrimentally, seriously increasing their risk of violence and severely restricting their ability to escape it. Cuts include wiping out women's centres, sexual assault crisis lines, legal aid for family and poverty law, as well as gutting to welfare and implementing a Crown policy to "tolerate" spousal assault. ( more information on cuts ) This year women are Taking Back the Province!

You can enhance your Take Back the Night experience by printing these stickers on your computer's printer and distributing them at your community's event!  Stick them anywhere!

Just click on the links below to access the sticker templates. These can be easily printed on a sheet of 2" X 4" standard labels, available at most office supply stores.

We used Avery shipping labels #08163, but you can use any Avery 2" X 4" label. Alternatively, you can obtain sheets of 8 1/2" X 11" labels, also available at most office supply stores, and cut them out by hand.

Hints for Word Users

It may be the case that your 2X4" labels don't follow the same layout as the one we used.  If this is the case, you can get other templates in Word (go through Tools-->Envelopes and Labels-->Labels-->Options).  Then all you have to do is copy and paste the design from our Word document into the template sections you have made.

If the design is too big for your template, you can change the size by clicking on it once until you see a border around it and some tiny black squares in the corners. You re-size it from one of these corners.  To do this, hover your mouse over one of these little black squares until you see a double-arrow.  When you see the arrow, click and drag the mouse pointer until the design is the size you want, then release.
