The BC Coalition of Women's Centres announces the WOMEN'S BUCKS Campaign -- A new currency in British Columbia!

In an interview in the Langley, BC-based Advance News, on February 15, 2002, British Columbia Minister of State Responsible for Women's Equality and Social Programs, Lynn Stephens, suggested a solution for those troubled by poverty and wage inequity:    "Well, then, make more money."

Some women have taken Minister Stephens to heart and have, indeed, set out to make more money. WOMEN'S BUCKS are now available for you to use!  Some suggestions for use of Women's Bucks include paying increased MSP premiums, BC Hydro bills and any other provincially-related expense.

WOMEN’S BUCKS are located online at:  www.bcwomen.cjb.net

People are also encouraged to take WOMEN'S BUCKS when attending rallies, forums, or other events.  The BC Coalition of Women's Centres is asking everyone to please print WOMEN'S BUCKS and distribute them!
