BEEF

Thinking about BEEF on a BUN? It must be Magrath Days again! I usually don’t make plans to come through town on that weekend. I guess the last time I went through – it was our 10 year for the ’91 Grads, which means it won’t be long before I am at Dave’s 20 year status. Yikes – so that means that I will have to make an effort to come this year and make fun of Dave riding the 20 year reunion float! I am heading back from visiting my grandparents in Saskatchewan earlier that week, and since I have some time off, I think I may just head down and eat hot dogs, and hang out a bit more in Magrath? watch the parade with a flask in my cargo shorts, throw some water balloons at the parade, chew on some candy??

Here is the question: What is going on? I know Dave’s got the reunion gig, but what are the details of that? Friday night? Saturday night? Where is the party, dudes? Where is Waldo?

And a note on being pleasantly reminiscent: There are only a few people, most of them on this blog, who still refer to me as amos. I love the nickname, and I like that just a few core people in my life still call me that. It was a nick name given to me by Kent Saxton, If I remember correctly, from his south american influenced mission. I consider it to be one of two of my sacred nicknames – and that makes me smile! Does anyone want to join me in the memory of cruising around in a car with Kent and playing the Ramones “I wanna be sedated”?

Amos... and everybody...

The reunion deal is going to go something like this. I will be coming in Wednesday PM checking into my hotel in Lethbridge. (Hotel TBA) Thursday during the day, Mary Davies and I are going to Waterton to hang out. (she's the only non-mormon, single girl at the reunion) We will likely get back Thursday evening. I'd be up for anything Thurs night... I mean that in the truest sense of the word. Friday morning I'd like to do a late breakfest in my room, and the go to Magrath around noon for 9 holes of golf. Then we have our formal reunion event Friday evening. Friday night after the event I am planning on having a drink at a location TBA. ...then It's the parade at 10am the next morning. We have a picnic event 3pm at Angie (Kern) Vayro's place. By then the party will be by invitation only and will be taking place at a location to be determined (you and all of my other friends will be on the guest list if you choose to or can participate) I think our plan is to have a couple of locations one pre bonfire/fireworks and one post bonfire/fireworks. Sunday morning will again be a few people getting together for brunch and tearful goodbyes. Then Monday I'm off to Van/Vic for my yearly holiday. If you need to call me on my cel at 780-966-5412 we can talk

There will always be a party in our backyard.

We need to make the town - being taken over by morons - celebrations bearable, right??

How would you feel if we had one of the 2 before or after fireworks parties at your place. Food and drinks and things could be arranged. It'd be fun :)

I sense an epic party building... Kind of like the community dance but for adults, with some drinking and magnitudes cooler.

Should we get a band?

Do we need sponsorship from a major brewer? Cash Bar or BYOB

What would be appropriate times,

What food would you like and are there any people on you list of "I will kill you if I find you on my property."
