Hawk on Rome

Okay, so I just had lunch while listening to Tony Hawk on the Jim Rome show.
FYI: Jim Rome's show is on the FAN960 Calgary and is syndicated all over North America, and it is a sports show. So anyway, here's Tony Hawk getting the same props as Wayne Gretzky or Nomar Garciaparra on a mainstream sports talk show...

Man, have times ever changed.

Tony was totally cool about it all, as he always is. Lucky for skateboarding, their best skaters seem to be the best ambassadors for their sport as well.

Anyway, it was cool and I wan't to let you know.

You had to know that they'd find out...

...that you were associating with known troublemakers like Dave S. and me.
I'm sure it just had to go through channels before they gave you the boot.

You're going to have to refresh me on my puppy story though, my brain must not be working today because I can't remember telling one for the life of me.

My campaign signs are going up today...maybe I should phone the vandals so they're ready to go too. hehe

No Longer in the Bishopric!!

Yep, I got released on Sunday, much to my surprise. They put me into the young mens' set up, but not before I had a chance to give a talk about being judgemental and how it's bad! I had Rick's puppy story all queued up, but didn't get to it. I did get to tell a couple of stories from my youth to illustrate the points I was making. Anyway, I visit Homestar about everyday and have even shown a couple of eps to my school kids to teach irony and character foils. We are building a half-pipe in the spring 'cause I just ordered the Skatelite. Dave says it looks like we're a go for Stirling as we've been approved by council. They just need to shore up their funding. Also, check out the ET The Extra-Terrestrial stuffed toy I'm selling on eBay. You can even bid if you'd like!

Rick for Council!!

Okay, today I have announced my candidacy for a position on the Magrath Town Council.
I stuck somewhere between, "Am I a sellout?" and "Finally my plans for world domination have begun!".

So I'm thinking of a few campaign slogans:

Vote for Rick! I'm not related to ANYONE.

Vote for Rick! Wrong underwear, right guy!

Vote for Rick! You know it, and I know it, so maybe someone should say it.

Whaddaya think?

This wouldn't surprise me in the least if it were true.

The following link points out some serious gaps in the logic of the 9/11 incident at the Pentagon. It's pretty interesting.
