Two quotes:

This is just a drive-by blogging with two quotes I found compelling.

"The biggest cause of trouble in the world today is that the stupid people are so sure about things and the intelligent folks are so full of doubts."
-Bertrand Russell

"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."
-Albert Einstein

Very Interesting...

I an intrigued to hear more about this "weeding" you speak of...

What day is school out for you, Mont?
If we can arrange a day during the break, I can probably get the day off.
Unfortunately I am not a teacher, and thus I am not entitled to a ghastly number of days off during the holidays.

I'll try and call you again, so we can figure some stuff out.

Lying Sack of Crap

Sorry guys, I will not be able to go the end of Nov. 'cause it already *is* the end of November. I also have a weeding on the 4th in Calgary. So it looks like sometime around Christmas would be good. Maybe the 20th. Again…sorry.

A promise is a promise

Okay, the guest posting entry may be a bit over the top, but I had stated that I'd throw up a page for guests and put a permanent link on the page, and since the easiest way to post the info is by making a blog entry, that's what I did.

By the way, that last SB email is bomb-digetty.

What days are you talking at the end of the month?
The 26, 27 or 28th?
or early next month?

Call me, and we can flesh out some details.
I've got a staff CHRIST-mass function on the 3rd, but other than that, I would be up for it.

Oh yeah I almost forgot...
This one's for Sann-ass:

This pic is not the least bit over-dramatic /scarcasm off

Buh-leted!

Whoa! I'm surprised the website hasn't crashed with all of the people wanting to post here. Well we'll show them what's cool and what is not that is for sure…

Anywheres, I thought I would just post a thank-you to Rick for all of his help with the Magrath Skatepark. We'd probably still be out there fr**zing our asses off if it weren't for you Rick. Thanks.

Dave I am now third level, so how do I join your clan? Not much else is going on except that is anyone interested in an adult trip to Calgary at the end of Nov. for skate and minor middle-aged mayhem?

Dubya goes to class:

President George W. Bush visits a primary school classroom.

They are in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings. The teacher asks the President if he would like to lead the discussion on the word "tragedy". So, the illustrious leader asks the class for an example of a tragedy.

One little boy stands up and offers: "If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs him over and kills him that would be a 'tragedy'."

"No, says Bush, that would be an 'accident'"

A little girl raises her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a 'tragedy'."

"I'm afraid not," explains the President. "That's what we would call a 'great loss'."

The room goes silent. No other children volunteered. Bush searches the room. "Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a 'tragedy'?"

Finally, at the back of the room, a small boy raises his hand. In a quiet voice he says: "If Air Force One, carrying you, Mr. President, were struck by a 'friendly fire' missile and blown to smithereens, that would be a 'tragedy'."

"Fantastic!" exclaims Bush. "That's right. And can you tell me why that would be a 'tragedy'?"

"Well, says the boy, because it certainly wouldn't be a 'great loss' and it probably wouldn't be an 'accident' either."

Hey Guys...

Hey guys I am here. It's funny how time passes so damn quickly. I have been doing all kinds of crazy things lately. I began working on a script for a short film, then it became a feature, now it seems to be coming together as a series. It is about a couple of guys who make the worst TV movie ever and get blackballed from the respectable television production community. The show starts with us getting reemed out, threatened, and fired by a smooth TV exec and his infinitely hot bimbette. We despair, start drinking let our lives fall apart and try and collect the monies owed to us from our many loser production clients.

Then one day an envelope arrives with a royalty cheque inside for $250,000. Apparently the network signed over all of the rights and masters for our piece of crap TV movie to our lawyer. He being of shifty business sense and low moral fiber sold the show in Europe where it became a huge success. (Germany, Scandinavia, and Poland) Royalties will be forever and in perpetuity. So now we have lots of money and we do all kinds of self serving misogynistic crap video projects for bands, pay per view and eventually the network crawls back and tries to get us to do some stuff for them.

So far it’s me and another guy as the main characters , Jen the really hot intern, Akasha the 37 yr old sleazy goth cougar, Powerman the worlds fattest contortionist, and Fatty Jones the rapper.

Principle shooting starts in 3 weeks

It’s called “Working Title”

I wanna do a Magrath episode.

Other than that I still have not gone to church. I still drink occasionally, Smoke a cigar especially when drinking Yukon Jack. I also occasionally watch adult movies in the comfort of my own home. I have never been happier.

You guys will have to ask me about Tal Bachman sometime. He and I had a long talk about the church and how we feel about it.

I am reading a book called “The Book of Hiram” it deals with the Masonic traditions that date back more than 6000 years. It is a pretty impressive work. Very eye opening and interesting. On one level it affirms several things in the church, but it also casts alternate explanations for a lot of things. It brings up a bunch of stuff about the Gnostics and the Essenes and early Christianity. (The branch of it that did not make it.)

I am convinced that perpetual guilt and mindless adherence to rules covering every aspect of life is not the way we were meant to live. When was the last time you really felt free to choose? I feel like that all the time now. Happy am I. : ]

I am including several images you may find enjoyable.

Keep the love rolling

Dave S.

What were they thinking?

So apparently that whole American election thing didn't go very well for Kerry supporters...
Big surprise.
Welcome to the new dark age. Yikes!
