Quote of the Day:

Faith is rather like a rhinoceros, in fact:

It won't do much in the way of real work for you, and yet at close quarters it will make spectacular claims upon your attention.
~Sam Harris

Don't blame me ...

Hey for those of you wondering "What the hell is up my comments?" all I've got to say is don't blame me.

Between the always buggy Blogger interface and the fact that Telus is my internet service provider, anything could be the problem.

...or it could just be that you don't live a righteous enough life. :P

Uhhh... Hi...

Some dude named Jebus just spoke to me... oops... actually his name was Jesus H. He told me to tell you guys to straighten the fuck up. We'll check in on you guys later.

If you get the chance... get reading "The Ancestor's Tale" by Richard Dawkins. it's pretty cool.

Just another aside... It'll be my 20th high school graduation anniversary this spring. Here's the options

Bring my 2, 20-22 year old female "friends," a camera crew, and party till I get kicked out of town or arrested.

Leave the girls at home and retrace what it was like to grow up in southern Alberta and what that means to me now, then party till I get kicked out of town or arrested.

Oh yeah... thanks Jesus H

Magrath sux...just kidding

Hey dewds,

Wow has it been a long time. Just thinking about it now though has the memories flooding back. Many good times in your fair township. Me, Paul Ferg (who is now a criminal justice lawyer in Vancouver - oh the irony), Jared, Jeramy (corporate whore), Dar (I still credit for getting me into cool music), Scott (who went all country at BYU), Jeff (stole my Cardston girlfriend one summer), Natasha (we never did kiss), Con and Jon (preppy shorts in the winter anyone?), Carter (Tinker's Dam), Rick (I coveted your yamaha DX7), Dawna (alternate name spelling - drama), Randy the male slut, Tracy, Angie, Shea (I remember watching Life of Brian at your house once), Monty, Nicki (we never kissed either and after all the trouble I went to on that island date at Henderson Lake)...I know I'm forgetting a ton of people.

Skating, Depeche Mode, mosh pitting and doing the dead fish at school dances, pretending to be punk rock watching Suburbia. Good times all around. I think I miss the innocence of youth on a daily basis (he says to himself as he peers out his window and feels the air conditioning provided by his corporate job - yes I too am a corporate whore). I'm not sure how many of you are still out there but thank you for adopting some Lethrbidge LCI rejects into your fold back in the 88-89 era. It meant a lot.

Disappointments.

Okay so it has been a LONG time since anyone has posted, and possibly it is because every one has fallen off the face of the earth. However, I'm just going to throw this one out there...

Is life and everything that happens in life just a setting us up for a big disappointment. It could be applied to anything..Religion, Life, Love, Friendships. Even if you try to live your life with the attitude of "No Regrets", I am just going to try to be happy (whatever that is) there are bound to be some, and I'm not saying by any means that life should be easy, but as someone who is a pleaser, it just feels like it is all a big set up. I can be working my ass of on 20 different boards and people who claim to appreciate you, and be your friend, can stab you in the back. Or.. you can live your whole live believing that if you serve you'll be blessed, and I think I'm just pissed off and tired. And religion..Well that is a whole other deal.

Does this make any sense?

Is anyone else out there still?
