30¢ vermilion value

30¢ value Colour: Vermilion Perforation: 12 x 12 Pelure paper

The printing of a value in a different colour usually denotes special usage for the value. As this was not the case, it was most likely an error made by the printer. I have several copies dated 1866, the earliest dated the 3rd of April. They were later replaced with the printing in blue perf. 13 1/2.
