Teaching and Training
My approach to teaching
Much of what I bring to my facilitative style is informed by my past as a language and literacy instructor. I have learned how to integrate skills and content, and performance and knowledge. Because language teaching entails incorporating procedural knowledge, structural knowledge and declarative knowledge, my toolkit abounds with techniques that translate such varied objectives into engaging and appropriate activities.
I like dynamic learning atmospheres and incorporate a variety of activities, groupings and representations in order to accomodate the diversity of learner styles and intelligences. I like a little chaos so that learners can make their own order.
