Rally Software Disclaimer

This program and all the code has been written from scratch based on the Microsoft® Excel Platform.  Microsoft® Excel 2000 or newer with VBA has to be installed on your computer to operate this software.

Although I have no claim to the core software used to support this program, (Excel & VBA) I do lay claim to all code, layout and formulas that have been created.

The general sheet design for "RallyMaker" stems from what I consider to be the best design for this type of rally based on my experience as a Navigator & RallyMaster.  The original layout that seeded this format is one that was used by the “BMW Seattle Classic Rally”.

The purpose of this software is to aid current and future RallyMasters in the creation of TSD rallies of this type, and to help unify instructions for such events.  This software is to be considered FAIRWARE.  With that, distribution is free with the following requests/constraints:

·        The software should only be distributed clean.  All the sheets should be virgin.  Don’t share after changing the templates!  Other RallyMasters don’t want to find your data appearing out of nowhere in their sheets.  I don’t want problems reported to me, only to find out I didn’t write the problem.

·        The software should be shared with the user manual attached.  Preferably in a zip file.

·        Although it can be deleted, I would appreciate the software credit that normally prints at the bottom of each page, “Rally Software from BC Classic Rally  www.bcclassicrally.com”, be left in place.  This helps direct other people to the source of the software and also directs potential rally teams to my own events.  If you find that you must delete this footer, PLEASE put the credit and web address elsewhere in your documentation where it will be seen.

·        If you find this software is beneficial, a contribution will be greatly appreciated.  This is the fair part!  Contribute whatever you feel is fair.  Many months went into the development of this software to save RallyMasters many hours of labour.
Some individual suggestions in return of the use of this package are:

¿ The offer of a complimentary entry to your rally.
¿ Entry at ‘cost before profit’ to a couple of your rallies.
¿ If your rally club has shirts, I wear an XL and my wife wears a Medium.
