Forget streaming video says Senior Producer Charlie White in his regular "editor's bay" editorial for Digital Video Editing. The short term is DVD, not streaming video which hasn't really panned out. Yet.

 

DV.com is home of DV Magazine, standard-bearer for the digital video revolution. While we prefer shooting Betacam SP, their well-researched articles are usually cross-platform relevant and actually more focused on digital post production. (They may not be posting their magazine archives anymore.)

 

High definition TV. It's a huge understatement to say a lot of confusion reigns over our industry concerning the nature and the future of HD. It's still a novelty act, which is not to say it isn't out there. Highdef.org is dedicated to HD.

 

The technical glossary at www.digital television.com is quite complete.

 

NAB2003. It's the world's largest electronic media show. And it's the second largest Vegas event. Some of the "booths" are so impressive they are two stories high. It opens from April 5th to the 10th in 2003, but you still couldn't see it all even if it ran twice as long.
