Broadcast Electronics 10M250 monophonic board

This board came from the CKGO station in Hope, BC. That station had been on 1240 AM. The board's vintage is 1981. It is pictured as received, after a face-wash. At my first look at it, I took it to be stereo, but the two VU meters are for program and audition. (The stereo version looks almost exactly like this, but the VUs are L & R, and there is a switch to make the meters Program or Audition). This board could be forced to pipe stereo by using two mixers per source, because the program and audition line outputs are identical - but stereo fades are definitely awkward to synchronize and gain-match with rotary faders. A 10-Watt monitor amp is included, with three muting relays. The cue speaker system is internal, and the mixer pots have cue positions. The talkback system uses the cue speaker and amplifier in a two-way fashion, and a selector allows the choice of three studios to converse with. Everything seems to be working.

This board would be a good candidate for mid-sized remotes, as it is quite complete with talkback, cueing, remote starts, and one input already configured for a triple-cart deck. Presently, it is used to play back tapes on our Ampex 351 deck.
