As confirmed by one of our webpage visitors, this board came from CKAY, Duncan, on Vancouver Island. Those call letters are now held by the FM station in Gibsons, BC. The story of how SPARC came into possesion of this console, for the moment, is lost, but it involved a third party. Until we were contacted recently, we had been calling it the "CKAY-maybe" board because of the Line Input label "CKAY PROG" (enlarged). Apparently, this was CKAY's master control board. More stories will follow.
Although we've never powered it up, it has served quite well as a rental for film shoots. It is fitted with the talkback option. There are lots of empty holes on the front panel to be filled. It seems to have been a home for mice in later years.
