There are fantastic wedding traditions in Wales. 
A courting tradition that has been in practice for years; the carving of a wooden love spoon, by a man, who wishes to marry a particular girl. He carves out various symbols such as hearts, keys & bells in a wooden spoon, showing his intentions for engagement & marriage.

Another traditional custom is the kidnapping of the bride by the bride's family just before the wedding ceremony. And, from the groom's family, whomever rescues the bride is said to get married within a year

The Welsh bridal bouquet is a very different kind. 
It usually contains myrtle & the bride gives her bridesmaids a cutting of myrtle which is a symbol of love to carry in their bouquets. 
The Welsh tradition holds that if the bridesmaid plants her myrtle & it blooms, she will soon get married.
