Northern Bruinen Source

Beneath the brooding mount known as the Bitter Stair, the snow covered valley of the Northern Bruinen Source is a lonely, wind swept plain. Though the occasional evergreen pokes up through the snows, the valley is largely barren, home only to the Snow Beasts and Snow Wurms that scavenge the wastes. Of late, patrols of Corcur Hillmen from Helegrod have started to patrol into the region.

From the great valley below the Bitter Stair, only one pass leads to the eastern most reaches of the Misty Mountains, and that is Nan Gongarag. Infested with Snowbeasts, lesser Wurms and patrolled by both the Corcur Hillmen and Snowreap Goblins, Nan Gongarag is far from safe passage to the East. For travelers through the Misty Mountains, however, the southern approach is hardly a more appealing option.
