CareFree Pet Care Services

Pet sitting is more than just caring for your pets. It’s all about being responsible, observant, reactive, problem solving and being able to deal with things that may come up while you are away.

Why do we need a pet sitter?
Pet sitting is an alternative to kennels. Your pet and/or livestock are already relaxed in their home surroundings. You can leave your pet at your home and we will provide the care.

When to use a pet sitter?
You may need us when you have sick pets, or young possibly newly adopted pets, pets without immunizations, or challenging pets. Maybe you are sick or injured and require assistance in walking or caring for your pets. You could use our services when you are away on vacation or business.

What a pet sitter provides?
We will provide companionship, food, water, medication, reassurance, playtime, walks, and most of all cuddles.

How do I prepare for a pet sitter?
You should provide veterinarian’s name and number, have an ample supply of food and medication, explain where the location of food, treats, toys, leash, cat litter, and livestock feed, etc. It is also important to provide information about pet behavioural issues (aggressive), inform us about typical pet routines and favourite hiding spots of pets, especially cats.

What else do I need to do?
Typically you will provide us with a spare key. If you have a security system, make sure the code is pre-selected and tested. You will need an emergency contact list with a local name and contact number, and also have a contact number where you can be reached while away. You should provide home insurance company name and number, service/repair company names and numbers if there are certain companies you prefer to use.

I don’t have pets. Do you provide house/sitting or house checks?
Yes, we do both. Our basic house checks include; opening/closing of window coverings, changing lights by switching on/off, making the house look lived in, checking for water damage, fridge, stove and freezer are working, bringing in mail and newspapers, and watering the plants.

VERY IMPORTANT: We vary the time of visits so observers cannot determine the next visit.

Did you know?
Home insurance policies may require someone to check on a residence no more than 24 or 48 hours between visits? Please read your policy carefully or check with your insurance agent.
