Sandra
Sobstyl
has trained in many forms of yoga and is a well-accredited and
experienced instructor of hatha yoga since 1997. Her passion for yogic knowledge
brought her to the Bhakti path of yoga, the pathway to peace through love and
devotion.
Many kind associations along the way have enriched her journey. In the
year 2000, her heart called her to Wales, UK, where she studied under the spiritual
guidance of Dr. Mansukh Patel and the World Peace Flame. Receiving yogic tutelage
from the Life Foundation International School of Therapeutics, Sandra became a
certified Dru Yoga Instructor, with a special interest in the music of yoga.
Her
innovative and inspirational style of instruction assists the process of
understanding yoga as a pathway to personal development and wellness. She holds firm
in the belief that we can create peace through music, especially in community
settings. Sandra began holding musical evenings in her tiny West-End apartment.
Enthusiasm and support for the vision of peace grew, and 5 years later the group is
now called 'Give Peace a Chant' and is held at the beautiful 'Yoga Studio' in
Kitsilano. She is a well-loved member and generous contributor to the yoga
community in Vancouver.
