"Hydrogen Generator Cell"

I Just built this For Test Purposes Only. I DO NOT intend to actually use it for running a car or anything else.

The Info Below is as accurate and as scientific as I can get.

I also built a Series Cell and Output Production was Better, But the resulted in Comparative increases got comparable results, as the Frequency and Current was changed.

(Change in Frequency had Little Effect.) (Doubling Current, Effectively Doubled Production.)

My Test Cell
It was Properly Conditiond Before Running the Tests Below.


This Cell uses Stainless Steel Plates and has an Effective Plate area of:

Each plate is 2 X 5.25 Inches = 10.25 Square Inches. There are Effectively 11 Parallel Sets of plates with a spacing of .15 Inch. (This is a Wide Spacing, but for a Comparative Current/hydrogen production, it is still quite valid.) Each plate has a .019 Inch Thickness. Total area for Hydrogen Generation is 115.5 Square Inches.

Here are The Test Results.

1) Running with 7.5 Amps of current at 12 Volts DC, it Produces 100 mL of gas Per Minute.

2) at 5 Amps 50 ml in 43 seconds

3) at 10 amps, 50 mls in 21 seconds

4)at 15 amps, 400 mls in 115 seconds

5) at 20 amps, 50 mls in 10 seconds

If you convert these to Equivalant Currents and times, They are all very close to the "Same Volumes of Gas" at the "Same Current Levels".

Example: (4 above) / (2 above)

400/50 = 8 8 X 43 = 344 seconds

15 amps / 5 amps = 3 344 seconds / 3 = 114.6 seconds

114.6 = 115 seconds, Definately Close to the same. So are the others.

In the Tests done so far, Adding Baking Soda or Sodium Hydroxide changed the Current levels for a Particular Voltage, But in No Way Changed the Amount of Gas produced at a Specific Current.

In These Tests I first applied a 50% duty cycle. Later I Varied Both the Frequency and the Duty Cycle.

"The Results Are Exactially the Same as straight DC".

I Had my Doubts and this now proves it.

I also Tried All Frequencies between 100 Hz and 100 Khz, to see if I would get better results anywhere in that range.

There Were NO CHANGES In Gas Production, for the Same Current Levels.

As a Final Note:

If at some point in time I do come up with a Practical unit, I will Publically Disclose all the info, In Detail, on various Internet Forums. "By Doing so, It can Not be Squashed by Any Government or Lobbyist Group".

This also makes it available for Anyone to Build it for "Personal Use", Reguardless of any Possible Existing Patent Infringements. Or if there are No such patents, Anyone can build and sell it.
