CJI STAFF TRAINERSCATHERINE BARGEN holds an honours BA with a double-major in psychology and conflict resolution studies. She is the coordinator of CJI’s school project “Educating for Peacebuilding” and is involved in case development and mediation in the agency’s minor crime program (VORP). Previously she was a coordinator at the Mediation and Restorative Justice Centre in Edmonton. SANDI
BERGEN
has worked with CJI since 1985 and is the agency’s co-director. Sandi’s most meaningful DAVID L. GUSTAFSON s founding director and co-director of CJI. He has overseen the development of the minor crime program (VORP), in operation since 1981, and the serious and violent crime program (VOMP), in operation since 1991. Adjunct professor in Simon Fraser University’s School of Criminology, Dave also maintains a small psychotherapeutic private practice. LYDIA STEER is a senior mediator and coordinator of CJI’s minor crime program (VORP). Since 1991 she has mediated victim-offender conflicts and community disputes. Lydia conducts case management, screening and training, and mentors practicum students and volunteers. She also assists and coaches other agencies in their mediation practice. ERIC STUTZMAN is a restorative justice advocate, facilitator and mediator. He is CJI’s training and education coordinator and is involved in the agency’s program that deals with minor criminal offences (VORP). An accomplished trainer, Eric’s work currently includes developing and implementing restorative action training and responses in the Langley School District. He previously served as a coordinator for the Edmonton Victim Offender Mediation Society. |
