CANDELABRA

This is a 10 candle unit; the first I made was a 7. The base is mahagony, the shaft is a 5 board laminate of some unknown Brazilian hardwood rescued from a shipping crate and the cups are Birch with a center laminate of the same Brazilian hardwood.

The cups were a challenge to turn on the lathe. An old concept of a "Jam Chuck" allowed them to be held and reversed to turn the opposite end.
