overcoming separateness where the aim is to belong to 
the herd and to a large extent, by conforming self disappears!
Union by conformity is insufficient to pacify
separateness anxiety as it is mind not body
but herd belonging is permanent not spasmodic.

Isolation beget separation begets indifference whilst
intuitive connectedness beget concern maybe compassion!
Belonging comes from an inner belief and voice that says
"I belong in this life and have place, purpose and meaning."

Mature pair bonded loving partners see themselves as
unique and different from each other, they know that
their closeness allows for individual differences.
The relationship coexists , complements and
completes with individual freedom where giving is
spontaneous with emotional and spiritual bonding.
Commitment is characterized by a desire not only 
to give to the other but to serve the other without
expecting anything in return and a recognition
that allows for faults, failures and disappointments.
There is equality and power plays diminish as
the three dimensions of the relationship 
peacefully coexist in harmony, 
"I" , "YOU" and "US".
