Frank was a Civil War veteran, Eighth Illinois Infantry. In 1900, the family was in East Lincoln, Logan County, Illinois, where Frank was enumerated as a newspaper publisher (census page 21B). In 1910, Frank and Orilla had moved to Morton Township, Tazwell County, where Frank was listed as publisher of ?paper (9A). By 1920, Orillla had died, and Frank, lodger, was in Salem, Ward 3, Marion County, Illinois, and listed as Editor, printing office.
Frank was a newspaper publisher. The following biography of Frank Burwell Mills is from History of Logan County, Illinois, together with sketches. . ., (1886), page 295 (online in the Stories and Publications section of ancestry.com):
FRANK B. MILLS, editor and publisher of the Lincoln Herald, is a son of Joseph A. and Margaret H. (Adams) Mills, natives of Ohio. Mr. Mills, Sr., was at different times, engaged in merchandising and other occupations. He was in the Ohio Legislature from 1851 to 1853, having been elected a Whig. In 1853 he removed to Iowa, where, as a Republican, he served one year in the Legislature of that State. He came with his family in 1857 to Atlanta, in this county, where he died in December, 1864. His wife is yet living at Atlanta. Their three children are Cornelia M. (Poak), residing at Osceola, Mo.; Patience E. (Plummer), died at Lincoln in 1867, and Frank B. The last named was born Jan. 10, 1842, in Clinton County, Ohio, where he lived until eleven years old. He lived with his parents at their different homes until August, 1862, when he enlisted in the Seventeenth Illinois Infantry. He served three years, his regiment being consolidated with the Eight Illinois Infantry in May, 1864. He was dischared Aug. 22, 1865, at Baton Rouge, La. Returning to Atlanta he was variously employed until 1870, when he took an interest with Albion Smith in the publication of the Atlanta ,Argus. Jan. 1, 1873, he came to Lincoln, where he has since conducted the Herald. He was married to Orrilla Humason June 23, 1877, and has a family of three children.

(b) Leigh Addison Mills; born 21 July 1879 in Illinois (re his World War 1 Draft Registration Card); married Olive Iola Hollingsworth; born circa 1880 in Iowa. The family lived in Chicago, Illinois, one of their addresses being Wilcox Street, when Leagh registered for the draft in 1917. Living with Leigh, Olive and daughter in 1910, was Leigh's brother Ellis Mills (page 8B). In 1920, Leigh was enumerated as a printer (page 11B) ande in 1930 as a linotpye operator (page 17B). Also with the family in 1920 was Olive's widowed sister (can not decipher name) and her children Laurel and Dominick.

Clifford married (first), 7 January 1836 in Harrison County, Kentucky, Elizabeth Kinsler (also spelled Kinslow); 1910 apparently Elizabeth died shortly after giving birth to their son William Clifford in 1838.

In 1850, Richard and Nancy, no children, were living in Richland Township, Clinton County, Ohio (the Sabina area), where Richard was enumerated as a miller. 1914 Also in the household in 1850 was Richard's brother, Daniel Hall. James T. Houston was a physician. Here is an extract from James T. Houston's biography that appeared in The history of Madison County, Ohio, containing a history of the county. . . 1883, page 434—online at ancestry.com's "Stories, Memories and Histories" section.
Dr. James T. Houston was born in 1816, on a farm four miles east of Springfield, Ohio. Commenced the study of medicine in 1833, with his brother, Dr; Robert Houston, and, and Dr. Bradbery, of South Charleston, Ohio. At the session of 1837-38, attended a course of lectures at the Cincinnati Medical College, known as "Drake's School." The faculty consisted of seven Professors. . . He [James T. Houston] commenced practiced with his brother Robert Houston, of South Charleston, in 1838. In 1840, he removed to Jeffersonville, Fayette Co., Ohio, where he practiced for fifteen years, making thirty-one years of continuous professional labor, nearly twenty of which was over mud roads and on horseback. He graduated at Starling Medical College in 1857, and came to London in 1869. In 1838, he was commissioned by Gov. Vance, of Ohio, as Brigade Surgeon of Militia of Clark County, Ohio. He was married in 1844, to a daughter of Capt. William Palmer, of Fayette County, Ohio.
