Cultus Lake United Church Camp had
its beginnings in the late 1890's
as a summer camp meeting ground, located at the
corner of
Higginson Road and Chilliwack River Road in Sardis.
To this meeting ground came whites
and natives alike, for missionary
revivals. In the mid 1930s the property was
sold and the money set
aside to build a camp for young people.
Cultus Lake United Church Camp (CLUCC)
was subsequently
established at the south end of Cultus Lake, on land
leased
from the British Columbia Parks Board.
