KITCHEN HELPER / DINING ROOM SUPERVISOR (VOLUNTEER)
The
Kitchen Helper and/or Dining Room Supervisor will:
Respect
all camp rules, regulations and policies.
Attend
all non site camp training programs.
Attend
daily camp staff meetings.
Share
his/her Christian faith and bring it into program activities whenever
possible.
As time permits, participate in other camp programs.
Participate
in evaluation process.
Will
possess excellent communication skills.
Note: Criminal record check will be completed and received by the Personnel Committee, 6 weeks prior to the camping session.
The
Kitchen Helper will:
Help
to maintain a clean and effectively productive kitchen.
Assist
in performing general kitchen duties such as:
cleaning of grills, pots & pans, and kitchen floor.
Help
unpack and put away food orders and other supplies.
Work
under the direction of the Cook and Cook’s Assistant.
The
Dining Room Supervisor will:
Prepare
dining hall for meals.
Ensure
that campers receive adequate meal portions and that large eaters are
offered 2nd helpings if available.
Ensure
that campers are served their meals in a timely fashion, and in a courteous
and efficient manner.
Ensure
that feedback from campers and staff is communicated to the Cook.
Observes
the campers during meal time, and inform Cook of food deficiencies or over
abundance.
Remain
in dining room during meal times.
Ensure
that campers and staff return used dishes to appropriate area.
Tidy
dining hall after each meal and wash tables and floor.
Be
able to take direction and follow orders.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Kitchen Helper / Dining Room Supervisor is accountable to the Cook
for all kitchen and dining room related duties.
To the Director for all else.
