We always get compliments on his gorgeous head, so here is a good shot from out in the pasture at 4 years old. We are glad to see that both his babies this year have his same gorgeous head.

Kid joined our herd in February 2002. After working with him for a couple years we decided he would make the perfect herd sire. Not only is he jet black, but his conformation and size is like that of his grandsire's (Smart Little Lena) and smart he is. Kid is easy to work with, a pleasure to ride, and a real gentleman with the ladies. We started Kid in the fall as a 2 year old, just a couple days, and thought we'd wait until he was 3. But then he was injured, pinched a nerve and lost full use of his left front leg. So we started him as a 4 year old, and he remembered what we did 2 years ago. He is coming along nicely, accepting everything we have put him through with ease. There has been no buck so far. He is extremely smart and remembers everything, he is also an amazingly smooth ride, like a rocking horse. We are hoping his injury won't affect his working ability. Kid's first year standing stud to our mares was 2004, and he produced 2 beautiful colts. He is available to a select number of outside mares for 2006, so book early. 2005 Introductory Stud Fee: $500 (registered mares) $400 (non-registered) Discounts for 4h Projects and for 3 or more mares being bred. Mare Care: $4.00/dry or $5.00/wet Mares are only hand bred.
