Lunar New Year – unicorn dance

This is a shot of the unicorn dance troupe from Tsung Tsin Association, Vancouver

at the Chinese New Year Parade in Vancouver, January 25, 2004.

Tsung Tsin is the local Hakka association for the Greater Vancouver area

(of which I was a director for many years).

The unicorn dance is performed by Hakka people, and this unicorn is the only one in

Canada.

Picture shows Shou Ngan Sim, who is a Teochew originally from Sandakan,

Sabah, leading the troupe.
