related photo competition and your honey samples to the Sunday honey judging
course at Bowen Park. New Location Forth Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at 7:00 p.m.,
at Fairview Community School. Located at Second street and Howard Avenue.
Room is located off second street parking lot. Two
doors down from the Gym. Welcome to fall. The general consensus at the last
bee meeting was that honey crops were indeed lower this year than the past few
years. Now it is time to start preparing for the next honey crop. Hopefully
everyone is finished feeding syrup, since the rise in humidity and lowering
of the temperature outside will make the job of dehydrating the syrup difficult
for the bees. Dry sugar on the top can be used when the weather conditions turn
cold. Time to REMOVE YOUR APISTAN STRIPS! Leaving them in
over 42 days will promote mite resistance to the product. Remember the bee conference is October 25-27.
