Tom Wagner was born in April 1944 at the Calgary General Hospital. In revenge they blew up the hospital in 1998 to make a parking lot.
Graduated so long ago he can't remember from Crescent Heights High School. Spent some time as a Postman, Telephone Repairman, Salesman, and eventually Electronics Technician. Moved to Vancouver area about 35 years ago, so that pretty well qualifies as a "Wet Coaster".
Eventually gravitated to Technical Writing, Marketing, and Management. Specializing in Communications and eventually Computer Technology.
In 1983, along with two associates was instrumental in introducing "Image Processing" to Forensics. Wrote numerous procedures and assisted in a number of key investigations in what was then a totally unknown and "Cutting Edge" technology. In 1984 was personally recognized by Los Angeles Scientific Services Bureau for assistance rendered.
In 1985 moved to Nanaimo British Columbia, and spent ten years as Media Technician at what was then Malaspina College. During this time, the Internet was introduced to the world, and was given the opportunity almost at the beginning to use what is now one of the most exciting and powerful tools for communications. Has had a Web presence since before there were even pictures...
At the present moment is Semi-Retired due to Arthritis and FMS, still living on Vancouver Island, and pursuing those things that interest him. Mainly Sailing, Writing, Photography and eating regularly.
