Over the years I have been writing web pages (I was there before there were pictures) I have noted a whole lot of things. Some I like, some I don't. So, you will find some very opinionated stuff here. But, as always, they are my opinion and everyone knows I don't know what I am talking about! Click here for my mindless meanderings.
Personally I have evolved a lot since I got involved in computers in the early 60's. That in itself pretty well dates me! Now that I am semi-retired I can look back at it all and truly say "Been there, done that, bought the tee shirt...". I feel I have paid my dues in full. I am particularly proud of my small contribution to the world of Forensics. Click here for my "brag file" on that one.
When I started this site in the early 90's there were very few websites. Now there are probably more websites in my area than there were then in the entire world. Everyone has a web page now. But, I staunchly refuse to modernize. I feel that the focus of the Internet should be to inform. If it entertains as well, so much the better. To do that I personally refuse to use Java or any of the fancy things we find on the websites of today. If you want music or special "mouse effects" this is not the place.
OK, that part is over. On to facts about this website. I am still a Western Separatist. But not so mundane as to suggest the Province leave Canada. I still think we should convert Vancouver Island into a Republic. Click here for my thoughts on that one.
The interest I had in cars
has faded but, it is not dead. Thanks to the geocities website I have managed
to keep my cars
and ham
radio stuff. Just click the appropriate one to go and visit.
Click here for some information on Winchester rifles. I still have an interest in collecting old firearms. But, the new Canadian Firearms Regulations are kind of putting a cramp in that one!
I do have an interest in travel, but now is by sailboat. So, except for a few specific interesting places all my travel writing will be boat oriented. Until the government finds a way to tax the wind the Captain Tom will be sailing.
I have put my photos back on line, without frames and slide viewer. Click here for a visit.
How about some stuff that real legends are made of? Read here all about Brother 12 and his religious followers on Decourcy Island.
Can I do a website for you? My rates are very competitive! I also do freelance writing and photography. Here is my bio.
