![]() Back in 1998 it was clear from news groups on the Internet that a resource for passengers sailing from Vancouver to Alaska was needed. I created Vancouver Cruise Watch in November, 1999, having been a travel writer for 10 years and a resident of Vancouver for 5. The Internet world has changed completely since 1999. Now all the cruise lines have web sites and there is a wealth of information on cruises and cruise ships online. Unlike today's web sites with Flash, interactivity etc., Cruise Watch was originally created in 1999 using HTML in HomeSite, CorelDraw and PhotoShop. Since 1993, photos have been taken with my Sony DSC-V1 digital camera. Prior to that, I used a Hanimex 35mm and scanned them on the Microtek ScanMakerX6EL. It has been a pleasure putting these pages together in order to assist cruise enthusiasts and visitors to Vancouver. Your comments and questions are always welcome. Clicking any of the "Contact" or "Email Susan" links. |
