While travelling the alphabet is not quite up there with founding e-Bay or coming up with a cure for cancer, it is not a trivial task. Some letters are surprisingly difficult to get to, while the letter X remains unattainable and probably always will be. The only way to see an X country is for a half crazed, alphabetically obsessed dictator to stage a coup in a politically unstable, insignificant backwater and ceremoniously rename the country something like Xanabia. I am not holding my breath, nor am I planning any coups. It simply is not that important.
X aside, completing the alphabet means getting to at least 24 places away from home. I found some very interesting, and not so interesting places to visit. As a guide to anyone else who might do the same thing, I have provided some very loose rankings of the places I visited.
