It was a very special occasion.
My daughter Stephanie is graduating
and I wanted the place to look festive.
So I kept blowing and blowing
up many colored balloons.
There were purple, red
and yellow balloons
Pink and green ones too
I even blew up silver ones
And a few that were blue
Then all at once
I had what is called
an "epiphany"
A moment of heightened awareness,
And at that precise time
everything became crystal clear
For I was looking at my world
through all those different
colored balloons
And suddenly I knew what I had to tell
my daughter
The one piece of advise
that would carry her
on her future journey
ALWAYS LOOK AT EVERYTHING
THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE'S EYES
AND IF YOU CAN'T
ASK THEM WHAT COLOR THEIR BALLOON IS
