A Family Affair

It is not that we want this dreaded disease. We really don't want to share it with you. But golly gosh darn I was more upset hearing my younger sister had been diagnosed with MS than hearing my own diagnose.
I have said many times better me than my spouse or kids. Never thought one of my siblings would show signs of MS. When my sister started having eye problems I immediately told her to tell the eye specialist that her sister has Optic Neuritis. And I let her know you can have ON and not have MS.
Unfortunatley she has both ON and MS. I think in someway she is lucky that she has someone close who can help her with the mental aspects of having MS. And double lucky for having the internet with all its vast knowledge on MS.
Now my sister and I can compare canes. We can share our MS moments, and we can race each other to the bathroom..... We can reminisce about our falls and tumbles. We can compare our numbness and pain. We can laugh together at our MS brains. We are keeping it a Family Affair. Wanna be apart of our family?
