Yearly examinations and vaccines are important for your dogs health. This
summer during vacation we thought Jake had injured his eye with a twig
while chasing squirrels. Picture below shows Jake did not catch the squirrel.
Upon our return it was Jake's yearly vet appointment.
I had the Dr. look at his eye for you could see it had not settled down yet.
He was diagnosed with
SUPERFICIAL KERATITIS
a common eye problem with German Shepherds. He was given medication
MAXIDEX and
sent home
with a follow up in two weeks time. Update on Jake's eye condition to follow.
You can read more about Superficial Keratitis or
PANNUS as it is also know as.
A dog's undying devotion to you is for all their life. They do not ask much in return.
So please be responsible dog owners and make sure you do not skip your dogs yearly
check up. |
