On farm
The semen is immediately inseminated into a mare at our farm.

Shipped Semen
Semen is extended, cooled and shipped to another facility
$200 plus courier fees.

Freezing Semen (at clinic only)

Initial reproductive evaluation- $550

• Cultures, cytology, morphology
• physical exam 72 collections
• test Freeze- using 64 different extenders
• Post thaw evaluation to determine which extender is best

Each additional Collection and Freeze, $275

Semen Collection for Freezing

• phantom training the stallion $450
• initial test freeze $ 550

  -on average 7 to 15 doses from each collection

Stallion Board, $30 per day - on average stallions need to stay for 1 week.

Storing Frozen Semen $1.50 per 0.5 ml straw per year, $3.00 per 5ml straw per year, $25 minimun.
Storage Contract

Stallion Fertility Evaluation
Includes two semen collections, 1 hour apart, full semen evaluation after each collection including concentration, motility and morphology, testes palpation, EVA testing, bacterial cultures of semen, urethra and prepuce. Results and recommendations compiled into report form for the owner.

Phantom Training
Includes stallion handling sessions and semen collections necessary to train the stallion to mount the phantom and ejaculate without hesitation.

Longevity Testing of Semen
Includes collection, evaluation and testing of one ejaculate to acquire an optimal cooling protocol for shipping cooled semen. Testing will involve evaluating samples for progressive motility 12, 24 and 48 hours after collection in extender containing various antibiotics.
