Closed Chamber Testing

Closed Chamber Testing is a variation on "standard" drill-stem testing.  Instead of flowing the test up the drill-pipe and floor manifold, the test-head on top of the drill pipe is closed and the production from the test accumulates in the drill-pipe.  The rate-of-change in the pressure or fixed-volume drill pipe chamber will yield a very accurate sandface flow rate.

Key Benefits

bulletMost accurate methodology of flow rate calculation.  Similar methodology to pipeline meter proving.
bulletCan be used at low rates.  Particularly important for damaged formation evaluation.
bulletMinimize gas emission and environmental impact.
bulletIncreased security of data.  Secure transmission of data at tight locations.
bulletProper rate determination with N2 or liquid cushions.
bulletAccurate multiphase flow rate determination when surface flow data is analyzed in conjunction with fluid recovery data.
