Music has surrounded my life since the day I was born. My parents love for music was
instilled in to me since I was a child. I sang and played different instruments at my
local church and school choir. I learned to play the piano when I was six years old.
At 13 I took drum lessons and at 17 became the drummer for a Vancouver Band called the
"Salad Kings." I played in many different concerts including opening for the
Mathew Good Band. During high school I was involved with the student government in
planning dances and setting up P. A. equipment.
My debut DJ experience was in 1996. I was working for Canada Safeway. The DJ for our
Christmas party cancelled at the last minute. I was asked to fill in because I had lots
of music and party lights. The night went well and everyone enjoyed my entertainment.
One person was so impressed they referred me to a recreation centre dance, which was also
successful. Word of my DJ talent grew and I began to play for banquets, anniversaries,
recreation and school dances. I bought more equipment and music and established my
business "Groovin 'N' Movin DJ Services."
In the past eight years I have worked hard to establish my love of music
as a growing business for myself. I have now become a reputable DJ throughout
the Lower Mainland. I have experienced playing for many different types
of events including weddings, banquets, nightclubs, pubs, schools and recreation
dances, reunions, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays and fundraiser's.
Over the years I have played at many different venues, some of which include
the Vancouver Art Gallery, PNE, Swan-e-Set Golf Course, Meadow Gardens
Golf Course, Pitt Meadows Golf Course, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Canada
Place, Bayshore Inn, and the Hyatt Regency.
