1983-84 Results

Roger Neilson, the genius who guided the Canucks to the 1982 Stanley Cup finals became the victim of the Canucks poor performance in 1983-84. He was fired 48 games into the season after failing to inspire the team to the heights they had acheived earlier. General Manager Harry Neale stepped in behind the bench and guided the Canucks to another third place finish in the Smythe Division. Patrik Sundstrom set a team record, recording 91 points, while Tony Tanti also set a team record, scoring 45 goals. Once again the Canucks were knocked out of playoff contention in the first round by the Calgary Flames.
