1970 Datsun 240z

Serial number HLS3001556, purchased in Tujunga, California, in April, 2000, and driven to Nelson, British Columbia. I got 24/mpg for the trip. This car was built in January, 1970. It has the original engine (L24-4042). The odometer read 44,921. (I don't know if those are original miles.) There was no underbody rust and only minimal rust on lower door panels. I have had the exhaust system and the steering rebuilt and the camshaft replaced. All electrical things have been repaired and work, except for the clock which, not unexpectedly, loses time. The original color was mustard-gold (920) with black interior. The previous owner painted the car dull gray to avoid speeding tickets. The upholstery is now red leather with red carpet and in good condition. This car is driven daily from mid-April through the end of October and then stored in a heated garage all winter.

According to the body repairmen, the car was rolled at one time and has a right front end weld.
