Film Data Tables

The following tables are guidelines only.

These development times work well for me, but may not work for you, due to different agitation techniques, lighting during exposure etc. The times given below for Stop Bath, Fixer, Hypo Clearing and Wash will be fine --- Follow the film manufactures data that came with your film, but if you are consistently dissatisfied with your negative density, then try adjusting your development time for future processing, to suit your taste.

Make sure that all chemicals are at 20 degrees Centigrade (68 degrees Fahrenheit). The most critical here is the developer - the other chemicals may be a few degrees above or below. If your developer is above or below the 20 degree Centigrade mark, you may adjust the development time by 30 seconds for each degree Centigrade difference.
Example: If your temperature is 21 degrees, then subtract 30 seconds from your total development time - If your temperature is 19 degrees, then add 30 seconds to your total development time.

This compensation will work effectively in the range of 17 degrees to 23 degrees Centigrade.

Where the film is exposed at an ASA (film speed) other than the films rated ISO, consider this to be a "push" when the film is exposed at a higher film speed than the rated ISO and a "pull" when the film is exposed at a lower film speed than the rated ISO. Processing times for "push" and "pull" processing, should be considered as starting points only!

Using the optional Perma Wash or Hypo Clearing Agent will greatly reduce your final wash time, but you will need to rinse the film with running water for 30 seconds prior to adding the Perma Wash or Hypo Clearing solution.

Wash Duration - 20 to 30 Minutes in running water that is fast enough to provide a complete change of water every 5 minutes.

OR.....

Wash Duration for film after using Perma Wash or Hypo Clearing Agent - is about 5 minutes in a running water bath - for exact times refer to the instructions that came with the product.
