Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is based on the natural balances in the human body. A TCM diagnosis consists of a search for patterns of disharmony in an individual. It includes the diagnosis of the tongue, pulse, eyes as well as the whole body, the detailed questioning of a sign and symptom history, and treatment recommendation. There are four major treatments in TCM: Acupuncture, Herbology, Tuina (Massage) and Dietary therapy. These natural healing techniques have been used for several thousand years in China and have been proven to be both effective and reliable. TCM treatments are being widely accepted in Canada and worldwide, including being recognized by The World Health Organization (WHO), because traditional Chinese medicine can not only relieve the symptoms and treat the underlying causes of the diseases, but can also strengthen the body’s energy and harmonize the whole body. |
