Trial Islands Lighthouse

Trial Islands Lighthouse

The lighthouse was built in 1906.  During the early shipbuilding days in Esquimalt, ships would make their “trial” run to these islands and back.  Today, these islands are part of the whale watching experience, and are an ecological reserve for rare plants and birds.
