Encoding a VCD with FlaskMPEG using Panasonic MPEG1 Encoder

 

1.  Rip the movie to your hard drive

2.  Open the IFO file

3.  Setup FlaskMPEG as shown in the bbMPEG guide.

4.  Select the Panasonic encoder by going to the "Options" tab in flask then go to "Select Output Format".  Then select the Panasonic Encoder.  The screen shown below should appear.

Setup the the following settings according to the picture:

A:  Set this to 1150 kbps 

B:  Set the audio to 224 kbps

C:  Select MPEG1

D:  Select MPEG1 Standard

E:  Set this as shown in the picture.

F:  Use Half Pel

G:  Set aspect ratio to 4:3 (NTSC for North America standards and PAL for European standards)

H:  Here you can set the amount of noise reduction you want.  This removes noise elements included in the material image file during encoding.

I:  This is the filter function for controlling the generation of block noise and making a high quality image for MPEG1 image data. Use the help menus in the encoder for more information.

5.  Now press OK and wait for the movie to finish encoding.
