Annotations: Thymoleptics function more as mood stabilisers than stimulants.  They are also used to help treat panic attacks and panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, including social phobia, and eating disorders.  A few are used to treat chronic pain syndromes (amitryptiline), enuresis (bed-wetting) (imipramine), ADD in children over 6 (desipramine, protriptyline), as well as cataplexy associated with narcolepsy, hypersomnia, and impaired morning arousal in sleep (all three, protriptyline).
