Biography Of Shaunti

Dear Fellow Yogis:

I began my practice of yoga in 2000, and it has been a central discipline in my life ever since.  It is my intense passion and love of the practice which keeps me moving with the flow of my breath and incorporating yoga into every aspect of my life.

My yoga training consists of completing certified teacher training in 2004, at the Prana Yoga and Zen Center in Vancouver, BC with Master Teacher, Shakti Mhi.  Then completing certified advanced teacher training in 2006, at the Yogaroots Mindfulness Center in Fort Langley, BC with Master Teacher, Tara Blake.  I continue to train, study and practice on a regular basis, which allows me to keep flowing with creativity and passion.

I have college degrees as a medical lab assistant and as a certified dental assistant and working in medical clinics has provided me with the experience of nursing.  I am a member of the Yoga Association of BC and also Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C certified (2010).

My Hatha yoga teachings are centered upon movement with and awareness of, the breath, blending prolonged and flowing poses which awaken the body and still the mind.  A gentle mindful approach to movement and breath will guide you to experience your deepest potential, and allow you to explore and learn the limitations and freedoms within your own body.  Cultivating a presence within the mind, body, breath and soul in every moment.

I am truly honored to have been able to learn from my very passionate and loving Master Teachers, and I thank them for their guidance, patience, grace and wisdom.

Embrace the spirit of yoga and '
find the peace within'.

Peace and joy from,
