Spent the last day rigging the elevators. I could not get the up and down travel that Van's wants (30 deg down & 25 deg up) . Finally found that the rod end was binding on the control arm under the front seats. That meant that the whole assembly had to be dissassembled and removed just so I could get at the control arm to file it out a bit (see photo). When I started, the plane was clean and all the covers were in place. The photo below shows what it looked like after I finally got it all back together. |
