Door rear switches covers

Fabbed covers for the rear door switches. These covers will protect the switches, and I will mount the headset jacks in them for the rear seat passengers. First photo is the switch location with no cover, Second is with cover in place.

Door Latch Switches

Installed micro switches on door latches. These switches will sense when the door is properly latched. The reed switches supplied by Van's were useless for this application because the magnets that operated them were too strong, and the assembly could not detect small movement. These micro switches will not close untill the door latches are completely in the closed position.

Windows done

Windows are insalled and faired. Turned out better tham I expected.
Redid some covers, one of which I destroyed cause I stood on it when it was not fastened. The others just needed to be a bit bigger. Pictures after installation.

Door lock

Installed a door lock on the pilots door. I used the second lock that comes with the lock set and key switch. Seems to work OK. See photos.
Also installed the rear windows and started the process of fairing them into the fuselage.

2nd Door complete...

We now have two operating doors. Not complete yet. They still need fiberglass work to pretty them up, but they operate...!

On the Gear....!?

Second door is fitted and on the hinges. Doesn't fit as well as the first and will take some extra work to make it OK.

I needed a better way of supporting the aircraft so I could move it around easier. The only problem I have now is figuring out how to streamline it cause I think at 200 mph it might create quite a bit of drag. See photo....
