Did the repairs specified in Van's AD to reinforce the bulkhead in the tailcone. The job seemed like it was pretty major, but in fact, it was not difficult to do. I started Monday morn and finished Wedensday. I only spent about 3hrs a day on it, so it went very well. This is the left side before... |

I flipped the horizontal stab over and placed it on top of the fuselage. This saved me having to disconnect the trim cables. The trick is to place a board across the deck at the front so the leading edge of the stab can rest on it during the flipping procedure. (little play on words there...) I was able to do the whole job by myself. |
