Flap circuit for RV-6A

Jog switch down - flaps drive to 10 deg and stop
Jog switch down again - flaps drive to 40 deg and stop
Jog switch up - flaps retract fully.
At any time during flap extension jogging switch up will cause flaps to reverse and fully retract.

Stop positions are determined by limit switches mounted inside the flap motor housing in such a way that the arm trips them as it travels.

Over-ride switch ON will make flaps operate normally.

Second set of relay contacts is tied to Matronics speed control for trim, and should do most of the trim compensation required due to flap extension or retraction. These will operate in AUTO or MANUAL mode.

Panel indicators are:
1st LED* - Motor running indication (flashes while motor runs)
2nd LED - Flaps not retracted indicator (On as soon as flaps leave stop)
3rd LED - Flaps at 10 deg extension or more.
4th LED - Flaps fully extended

*LED - Light Emitting Diode
